I have an old refrigerator and microwave I’m looking to donate. I’m looking for a non-religious affliated charity that could come and get these appliances for me. Does anyone know of any?
You could always call Salvation Army, Goodwill, or other thrift stores in your area.

I am moving and I would like to donate items to charity. I have a ton of books. Can I call someone to pick them up or where can I drop them off?
You can donate them to the Salvation Army. Here are the locations:
1. Salvation Army(415) 648-0260 – 1156 Valencia St, San Francisco, CA
2. Salvation Army(415) 781-7360 – 1450 Powell St, San Francisco, CA
3. Salvation Army – (1)(415) 575-4848 – 520 Jessie St, San Francisco, CA
I have been organizing my personal library, and I have at least 100 books I would like to donate somwhere. They are in perfectly good condition, most of them are old school & college textbooks that I would hate to recycle. Used bookstores do not want them either.
Please look at www.betterworldbooks.com

I want to donate my long highlighted hair but every organization I’ve found won’t accept highlighted hair. Does anybody know where I can donate it? I really want to help others in this area.
I have blonde hi-lites, or however, you’re supposed to spell it ![]()
The reason it’s not accepted is because hilited hair will not stand up to what has to be done to it to make it into a wig. Locks Of Love will not take hilited hair – only COLORED. The hair is boiled and handled pretty roughly and hilited hair basically falls apart in the process. If you are committed to helping, keep your hair and find a way to volunteer. Good luck!
I have two half lab/half german shepherd pups I wanted to donate to the charity that trains seeing eye dogs for blind people. Does anyone know how I can do this? thanks!
The 2 breeds of dogs most commonly used for seeing eye dogs are labs and german shepherds. These are not some random mutts, both parents are pure blood with clean bills of health. The puppies themselves also have clean bills of health. I want to help people who cannot afford to buy dogs, by donating these puppies for them to have.
They don’t want mutts. If that was all they wanted, they’d pick them up a shelter. First, the dogs must have a good health pedigree. No history of frail bones, glaucoma or bad ears or hearing. Someone who is blind won’t be able to check for much of that and they will rely on the dogs ears as well as eyes.
Sign up to be a trainer though. All puppies have to be well socialized, and be tolerate of other dogs and cats.
I will donate 10 CENTS for every subscriber to charity.
I started today with 384 subscribers. So I donated $38.40 to http://www.childsplaycharity.org
They provide video games, books, and entertainment to children who are stuck in the hospital.
I will update my donation totals every sunday for everyone to view.
If you have a suggestion for a different charity please comment or tweet me @sundawgee
Your subscription to my channel will help someone out there in the world. I think thats pretty cool.
Please comment here, or tweet me http://www.twitter.com/sundawgee
If anyone messes with my subscription numbers to troll this project they are only messing with their own karma and not mine.
Thanks for participating.
It doesnt matter if I donate 50 cents or fifty dollars a month, the point is I am trying to do something positive with my youtube page.

As it is nearing the Christmas season, I realize that alot of parents out there can barely afford to pay the bills, let alone scape up some money to buy their kids Christmas presents.
I am 16, and I come from a good family, and make good money. But for some reason this made me sad knowing that kids out there will be sad on Christmas. Where can I donate some money to help them?
Many communities of faith — church, temple, mosque, etc. — have programs to help families in need. Contact a few in your neighborhood and see which you feel most comfortable giving to. You can also call your local United Way, and tell them you want to donate to a program that helps families in need at this time of year — this organization can put you in touch with an agency that does such (you can donate directly to the organization; you don’t have to donate through the United Way). Finally, visit VolunteerMatch and see if there are any organizations in your area that are posting volunteering opportunities and serve families in need; you can contact such directly and tell them you want to donate to their efforts.
