Again, do not feel like you have to donate. This is for people who enjoy our entertainment that want to, you’re welcome to come and watch regardless of if you donate or not.
There is also tons of co-op to be had between the two of us in case I forgot to mention that, but I will be there during a majority of the stream in a Skype call or co-opping. If not I’ll be in the chat chatting with you all.

I work with a non profit charity. We sometime receive donations for a specific fundraiser. I know that if we don’t use an item donated for a specific fundraiser or use, we have to give it back to the donor or get permission to use it otherwise. My actual question is, where do I find the written rules or guidelines that explain the handling of donor restricted donations?
Try to find a manual for code of conduct for non-profit organizations.
http://www.forcardonation.com Car Donations are incredibly popular due to the mix of feeling good about yourself by providing someone with a much needed car and the tax benefits that you get. It’s a real win win scenario.

I have a website for an organization I am establishing. It is just a matter of time and money until it is up and running. In order to get enough money to establish non-profit status I need to ask for donations. I don’t know how to do this with tact. What is the best way? Any other ideas or suggestions that would aid me in getting my name out and making this happen are coveted. Thanks!
It’s funny that you asked because my non-profit went through something very similar. In fact, it is a year later and we still don’t have a working website up.
The best way to ask for donations is through letters, we took a list of all the contacts that we had and spent some time developing a very nice pamphlet with our goals and current projects, then at the very end (on the back page) we asked for donations. Take your time on the pamphlet, design with color and give thought to the words you are using. It makes a huge difference
I’m not really sure how the tax credit donation system works?
Can you still be eligible for tax credit donations if the donation is to something that isn’t directly school correlated?…for instance, a trip to England through a girls choir? or a residential academic summer program?

Sorry, I might need to clarify on what I wrote. I meant educational credits. Can you ask people to donate up to $200 (couples $400) for expensive educational programs that are not directly related to school? Like the CTY(Center for Talented Youth) residential program…
sry for the repeat
I think you’ll need to be more specific and re-word your question. "Tax credit donations" is not a meningful term. Are you asking about charitable deductions? Or about credits for educational costs?
