There are many ways you can have fun with words.

For example, there are crosswords, such as synonym-based, cryptic and general knowledge types, which are popular the world over.

Then there are puns, which do have a bad reputation, but to my mind, you can’t beat a well-crafted (i.e. not corny) play on words.

Next, you’ve got puzzles such as word searches, games like Hangman and Scrabble, and even Lexicon cards for us oldies.

But one of the most popular of all types of word play is the anagram – a rearrangement of a word or words to form some other word or phrase.

These are used in crosswords (typically cryptic ones only), as puzzles, and just for the sheer fun of it – and the best way to see what you can make out of your name, your friend’s name, celebrity names, or whatever, is to use an anagram generator such as Anagram Genius.

Although many childrens plastic playhouses today are meant for the backyard, there are also some which are just as wonderful to have for indoor play. With cute structures and adorable colors, they can look very appealing indeed in a corner of a room.

Having a playhouse indoors will allow your kids to play with it anytime, regardless of the weather outside. Even if it is too cold or hot to venture outdoors, there is fun to be had everyday of the year with a playhouse tucked away in one corner of the room.
