    um, about 2.5-3 …
um, about 2.5-3 inches, i guess. it’s lookin shaggy/layered cuz it’s one length all over my head… so i’ve got bangs that just pass my eyebrows, hair at the side of my head that just covers my ears, and hair at the back of my head that nearly reaches the top of my shoulders.

i’m planning on cutting it again soon. hopefully it’s long enough to make a cute bob.

Thank you! i’ve been getting more compliments now that its’ grown out a bit. my fam just didn’t like the buzz cut, i guess, but now it’s more pixie-ish so they’re ok with it again.

comb-overs are ridiculous. and make you wonder who thought they would be a good idea.

    That’s fantastic -Good for you!

I’m a guy and I shaved my full head of hair because I was tired of brushing it. I was surprised to get compliments on my “bald look”, especially from females, but my dad hates it.

Isn’t it funny how men, who are going bald, try to hang on to the last remaining strands of their hair (comb-overs), when they would look better by just shaving it all off?

Anyway, you did good, and I’m sure Lisa Palmer knows what you did for her, in her memory. Congratulations!

    good questions, all …
good questions, all of which were answered in this video, but ok, i’ll say it again: 1) my hair had been processed (from bleaching and dying it) so much that locks of love/ pantine pro-v/ other hair donation organizations wouldn’t/couldn’t take it (and it would’ve made a nasty wig anyways) 2) locks of love actually makes wigs for alopecia patients, not cancer patients. 3) we raised over $200. not that the actual amount makes any difference, as any donation is a worthwhile donation.

    why didnt you …
why didnt you donate it to locks of love? you could have actually made a difference in a cancer patients life instead of just making..what…$20?

shit you could have sold your hair for a hundred dollars and donated that instead.

  20. GiverSSJ Says:

    Are you trying to …
Are you trying to grow your hair out or keep it short?

  21. slinkiworm Says:

    um, i think there …
um, i think there may be a language barrier here, but i’ll try to rephrase: my friends each brought $5 to watch me shave my head, and we also had an auction for the chance to be the first person to touch my shaved head. I collected all of this money and donated it to the American Cancer Society in memory of a family friend, Lisa Palmer.

Okay, so I didn’t *have* to shave my head as a fundraiser, but it seems to have raised a lot of money and attention for the cause.
