Where can I donate used calculators?

Posted by admin on April 28th, 2010 and filed under donate | 3 Comments »

I found a couple of my old calculators, in good condition, from a math class I used to take in High School. They’re scientific calculators so they run about 15-20 Canadian dollars. I figure there’s some school program for underprivileged kids or something that I can donate them to. They are almost a requirement for today’s high school curriculum.
Anyone know a charity that will accept them?
I’d rather not give them directly to a school because all the schools near me and very well off, financially, as are the students in this area.

The pencil project will take them. Anything that has to do with School. The kids can use them to learn math. They don’t only accept pencils, but all school supplies.

if there’s really no one around who deserves it, you can sell it and then donate the money.. it would be easier to look for people who deserves money than a calculator..
