No matter where you are across the globe, blood is always an invaluable commodity. I’m at donation 208. Please tell me if your share this interest in saving lives.
i wish i could. my blood is very different from others. not blood type wise or HIV wise. i dont have any of that. but i really wish i could. References :
Before they changed the restrictions, I used to donate 4 times a year. After I went overseas for my 1st tour they told me I had to wait. Now that things have become even more stringent, I have to wait 5 more years before I can donate. I retired in 1993. Strange how things work. References : Retired Military
Yikes! I can finally donate! I was rejected last year because I went to certain parts of Costa Rica. I almost wanted to cry because it was like getting fired. The nurse patted me on the back and said "see ya next year". Then Simon Cowell told me that I should’ve researched the disease situation there ahead of time. If I wasn’t so careless in picking my destination I’d still be on stage, er donating.
But hey! I can go donate now. Thanks for reminding me!!!!!
p.s. You know what’s also sad? I have moved around constantly. I keep getting new donor cards because I donate in different districts. It’s hard to get those gallons when you get a new card every time you move. References :
I’ll happily donate once they stop having discriminatory rules. If you have had gay sex since the 1970’s, you can’t donate. Because all gay people have AIDS.

I donate blood religiously. I’m 18 years old, and will have my gallon donor keychain next week!
