Lauren Larsen became a multi-gallon blood recipient during the near-fatal birth of her only child. Several of her actual blood donors talk about what it was like to meet Lauren—and her family—in person four years after helping to save her life. This narrative underscores the direct connection between blood donors and the people whose lives they impact. This blood donation advocacy video was produced by In The Telling with educational funding from Johnson & Johnson.

Very good video!
An adequate supply of blood saved my mother’s life in 1993 and gave her ten more years to live.
I had been an occasional donor before she was saved by the 100 pints of blood used on her in one month – but since then I have been a regular donor.
Thanks for all blood donors!

Imagine taking a …
Imagine taking a potentially devasting situation and turning it into a life altering one, not just for yourself, but for so many. This video captures authentic human empathy through which family, friends, strangers & even corporations can exercise compassion & honor the connections that unite us – a world without separation, a world where our differences have no value or meaning. Every life who touched Lauren’s or was touched by Laurens brings a healing light to our planet. Inspirational!

As a kid, i remember the hospital calling at odd hours for my mom, asking if she would come in and donate her rare blood (0-). i guess that is why i donate every 8 weeks.
For all the need, only 3% of Coloradoan’s donate, and the need is great.

Blood donors save …
Blood donors save lives every single time they donate, and that is a FACT. Every time you give blood you LITERALLY save someone’s life. There is no substitute for blood and when you need it you will either live or die, depending on wheather or not it is available. Give blood. Give LIFE.
