instead of putting most of it out on the floor of their thrift store for poor people to buy…they sell best pickings, when the truck comes in, to a lady running a second hand furniture store?
I just think its not right. I know they need to make money, but isnt that the point of running their thirft store. What do you think?
they just try to make money the fastest way they can then spend it on the people they help
it may not seem right the way they do it but it works for them to help as fast as they can
talk to them they will explain the way they work to help as best as they can

I noticed that once. We donated a bunch of good stuff to them. Later we visited the store and there was nothing but garbage. I don’t give to them anymore.

Usually they clean the furniture before they put it up to sell, and they are going to sell it anyway. Why not sell it to someone before they waste the man hours cleaning it? Plus sometimes they get and overload of furniture and don’t have room so its better to give it to someone who can at least store the furniture indoors.
Plus those ladies that run second hand stores still go around to goodwill as regular customers, they also go to garage sales, they’re pretty much everywhere they can get a deal and they are sneaky.

I think you are right. Man, Salvation Army and Goodwill are rip-offs!! A freakin plain old tee-shirt costs like $3 in there!! That is greedy. There are little church ran thrift stores that only charge like a quarter for shirts!! All I can say is G-R-E-E-D-Y.

I heard this is a common thing. I have even heard they grt designer clothing given to them as each season finishes from department stores, They then sort out what they want, then sell the rest! this is wrong and greed prevails ?

Not only do they pick over donations, which would be bad enough But did you Know that the Salvation Army Only needs to spend 1 dime out of ech dollar you give them.
By law nonprofits are required to give the needy only 10 cents of each dollar you send them. Most charities give an accouting of their spending to watch groups. The Salvation Army does not voluntarily give out this information.
