It doesnt have to be picked up but if they did pick up that would help.
I dont think goodwill takes furniture and amvets dont and i have lots of furniture i need to get rid of.
Where or what companies will take my donations?
Goodwill does take furniture. They take about anything. If you do not want Goodwill, look for a thrift store, they take about anything too!

I think most Goodwills take furniture. Also Disabled American
Veterans will usually come pick up, so will some other
charitable organizations. Or go to your nearest church,
they usually have lists of families they’re helping out, etc.
Also try the Salvation Army. Or go online to Yahoo groups,
and see if there’s a "Cheapcycle" or "Freecycle" in your area.
On cheapcycle you sell it, on Freecycle you give it away.
