Please give something. You may not think a buck is worth giving, but every little bit helps and it all adds up.

For the past 13 years, Toys for Joy has reached out to Southeastern San Diego. Last year, the Rock Church impacted over 8,000 lives with the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. We provided 100,000 articles of clothing, 7,000 toys and 4,000 bags of groceries to families in need. More than 1,200 volunteers and 14 churches partnered to reach this community for Christ.
This year’s event is going to be bigger than ever! We’re anticipating more than 15,000 people to attend. Families will receive free haircuts, health screenings and groceries. Each child will be given a toy and there will also be a community fair for adults, all with the purpose to share the love and Gospel of Jesus Christ.
How You Can Help
Volunteer
We need 1,500 volunteers.
Monetary Donations
We will need $50,000 to make this event possible.
You can also use your recyclables to bring JOY. A portion of the money raised from recycling at the Launch Pad between October 18 – December 6 will be used for Toys for Joy.
Toy and Clothing Donations
Our goal is to collect 10,000 toys and 125,000 articles of clothing.

My sister’s house burned down – here’s the link: http://tobyturner.com/blog/post/60
A guy was collecting donations for her (furniture and clothes and whatnot), and he actually kept it all for himself! Not only that, they collected the stuff that wasn’t burned from her house, and instead of giving it back to her, they ‘donated’ all of it to charity. WHAT?! Donated the stuff that belonged to a girl whose house burned down to CHARITY? Not to her? I need to make a bigger vlog about it…
Oh, also – he’s STILL collecting donations for her. Do NOT donate to the person that the news story says to donate to – the newspaper won’t remove his link.
A Fort Walton Beach jewelry store was robbed. I’ll post a link or something if one ever exists.
